Zippy Meets Dr Echo

Recorded in the late 90's by Dr Echo www.aniccarecords.com aka Justin De Hart and Zippy aka Zach Goodin on an old 1/2 inch tascam 8 track at the Style Shop in Sacramento CA. A loose collection of predominantly instrumentals covering a wide range of genres. Tagged with a drunken live MysteryMeat show this c.d. is packed with over an hour of music.

MysteryMeat will make you laugh with stand out performances by Chris Watson, Devin Hurley, Jason Westfall, Dave Ruel, and Zippy on the live tracks recorded by Pot Roast at now closed Kozmo's in Huntington Beach. This manic jam session started an ethos or creed for MysteryMeat, and now the guys are working their way through their follow up studio album seven years later. This night was also part of the spark of inspiration to start SexRat years later.

The idea for the Zippy meets Dr Echo was to not have a plan, and use lots of percussion elements to have a world feel. Justin getting a full bright scholarship and studding in India brought lots of new ideas to the table, and Zippy's 1st effort at producing a record with no rules or any idea how to put it out was an adventure. There are many dreamy instrumentals that let the mind wonder, and a few tunes with vocals by Zippy, Abs, and Ike to break it up.

Jason Westfall bass player on the the live MysteryMeat tracks and owner of Martian Church helped make this release happen in 2002, and the Meat looks forward to having him sing a few tracks on the new studio record. Also, HONR will be re-releasing Zippy Meets Dr Echo but for now it is available for digital download with the MysteryMeat show.
