The Difference

The band was formed in early 2002 by former Filibuster frontman/singer Jason Boggs, Filibuster Guitarist Mike Schefener, Jason’s co-worker Jerome Stannard, and friend Will Brunk. Mike soon after handed over guitar duties to friend and rookie Matt Winnberry. Soon after Jason and Jerome’s co-worker Andrew Marks was added in early 2003, and Will was replaced by Mike Cordano on the drums. …are cuming was recorded in June of 2003 and this line-up was complete until the departure of 2nd guitarist Matt Winnberry in early 2004. Stepping Large, Laughing Easy was recorded as a four piece over a weekend in March 04’, and released in July 04’. In 2005 the $nobs added longtime friend and 2nd Guitarist Tim McCord. In 2008 The $nobs won a SAMMIE for the Best Rock Band in Sacramento. Shortly after this victory Andrew Marks and Tim McCord left the band to pursue career opportunities in San Francisco and New York. Zach Goodin AKA Zippy, a well seasoned rock and roll vetran is now manning the six string with the $nobs. The snobs will record and release a record in 2009!
